Muhabbet works tirelessly at a small grocery store in the outskirts of Moscow, staying there at night as well. Like other undocumented immigrants, she receives no pay for her labor and isn’t even allowed a break. When the store owner takes her newborn son away, it’s the last straw. Overcoming fear and despair, Muhabbet gains her freedom and rescues her fellow workers but is forced to leave Russia. Back in her homeland, Uzbekistan, she begins a relentless fight to reclaim her child at any cost.
