In New York, unlucky newcomer Slevin arrives at his friend Nick’s apartment but is mistaken for him and caught in a deadly game between two crime bosses. The Boss orders him to kill The Rabbi’s son as payback for his own son's murder. Meanwhile, morgue worker Lindsay helps Slevin, and they fall in love. Ruthless hitman Mr. Goodkat plays both sides, while Detective Brikowski pressures Slevin in his pursuit of the crime lords. In the end, revenge is a dish best served cold.
