Handmaiden

In 1930s Korea, under Japanese occupation, a girl is hired as a maid for the Japanese heiress Hideko in a rural estate. However, the maid has a secret: she is a pickpocket hired by a con artist posing as a Japanese count to seduce Hideko and steal her fortune. As the plan unfolds, unexpected emotions develop between Sookee and Hideko, and the story turns into one of betrayal and passion.
